PROJECTS:

  • Advocate against Wilderness/Habitat fragmentation
  • Paying attention and attending meetings re. Public Land protections
  • Trail planning on State, County and City levels
  • Changes to laws/regulations
  • Bi-monthly events on WILD topics
  • Summer projects in cooperation with other agencies for trail maintenance, trail repair and invasive weed control
  • Seed saving projects in the summer/fall
  • Getting out to experience and learn about our local wild lands
  • Attending public rallies
  • Advocating in the media for wild lands and climate change issues.

BROADLIGHTS

  • Mobilized a sizeable group of GO Broads for the Women’s March
  • Attended a rally against sell-of of BLM Land to Frackers
  • Attended a four-part educational lecture series at the Boulder Public Library on City, County, State and Federally Managed Public Lands
  • Successful input towards CO State Trails Program Planning Process
  • Attendance of meetings
  • Building personal relationships on various levels 

WISHLIST:

  • Volunteers to participate in the upcoming Water Quality Monitor training in October 2017 
  • Scholarships for that training for three attendees ($125 each) 
  • A PR-savy volunteer to coordinate lettter-writing to government offices and editors and local media coverage 
  • Donation of a good laptop computer with graphics/ photoshop capability (this would help us so much!)
