The Sangre de Cristo Broadband welcomes all who are interested in healthy wild lands.
Geographical range of action: Northern New Mexico Rio Grande corridor, Colorado border to Santa Fe vicinity; Santa Fe and Carson National Forests, Sangre de Cristo Mountain range; Pecos, Wheeler Peak, and Latir Peak Wilderness areas
Interests/focus areas: Wilderness proposals, BLM and USFS travel management planning, grazing, legislative, inter-agency co-operation for public land habitat restoration, trail use monitoring, wildlife habitat
Projects: Monitoring, collaborating with conservation groups and agencies (like New Mexico Wilderness Alliance, Wilderness Society, Wild Earth Guardians, No. Rio Grande Sierra Club, Volunteers for the Outdoors, and U.S. Forest Service), ongoing public land restoration projects, hikes, potlucks, reading groups, and participating in the 2014 50th Anniversary of the 1964 Wilderness Act.
