Join the South San Juan Mountains Broadband and the Mountain Studies Institute of the San Juan Mountains on Wednesday, July 25th from 9:00 am until 2:00 pm for a Ophir and Chattanooga fen revegetation day at Ophir Pass!
Within the San Juan Mountains, fens, marshy and frequently flooded areas of land, store carbon, filter water pollutants, and support the region's biodiversity. However, sadly, these fens are currently threatened by mountain watershed development and climate change.
By helping out at the fen revegetation project, you can restore and learn more these critical ecosystems while having fun!
