The March for Fossil Fuel Freedom:

A 34-mile Walk to Expose Oily Wells

Climate change is real and threatens the wilderness, wildlife and Earth we love. Two of us have already registered to join our partners for the March for Fossil Fuel Freedom from Palo Alto to downtown San Francisco. You can register to walk any small part of the route or sign up to be a through marcher. The organizers have support vehicles and food for all participants during our urban adventure. If you decide not to march any part of the route, you can sponsor us or volunteer! Please participate in the March for Fossil Fuel Freedom so we can shut down the fossil fuel industry that threatens our public lands and climate.

March with Us!

Marchers are welcome for the entire length or for portions of the route that meet your abilities and availabilities. ‘Day trippers’ are welcome! (Learn more)

Sponsor a Marcher

Can't join us, but want to contribute? Support the campaign by donating in the name of a marcher.

Carol Kuelper (Oakland) is a Day Tripper.

Maureen Forney (San Leandro) is a thru-Marcher.

Shelley Silbert, our Executive Director, will be in the Bay Area and may be able to join us for the opening leg!

Your name could be here and someone could sponsor you...

Many hands make light work, and we love volunteers! We have many fun ways to put your talents and skills to work.

Thank you to our Broad sisters who have already helped us train and promised to pledge.
