The WHALES of Teton Valley Broadband (WHALES stands for Women’s Hiking And Literary Epicurean Society) invites you to join their winter activities now through April 2021! We snowshoe on Tuesdays, downhill at Grand Targhee on Wednesdays, and cross-country on Thursdays. All events start at 10 a.m. and require social distancing and masks (photos seen here were pre-pandemic times). For downhill, we meet on the patio at Targhee at 10 a.m.
The snowshoeing is led by Marie Tyler (firstname.lastname@example.org) and Janna Rankin leads the cross-country ski (email@example.com). The WHALES snowshoe and cross-country from various trailheads each week, so contact Marie or Janna for details or to be added to the WHALES email group for updates.
In the summer, the WHALES plan regular hike and bike outings as well. While together we discuss the books we’re reading, and every fall we have a pot luck with quasi-competitive casseroles, salads and desserts.
Whether you live in the area or are just passing through, we’d love for you to join us!
