Come join the Inland Empire Broadband this Sept. 22-24 for a weekend camping event in the beautiful Laguna Mountains Campground, located one hour east of San Diego!
Program
Friday
- 4:00pm arrive and set up. We have three tent camping sites reserved. Each site can accommodate two cars and six people. We currently have three tent campers. One RV camper who reserved a separate site. And one cabin resident who lives nearby.
- 5:00pm Happy Hour. Bring some snacks and beverages to share.
- 6:00pm Dinner. Potluck. Bring enough for six people. Just one item is fine.
- 7:00pm Education – Information about the new National Monument “Chaparral Pacific Crest”.
- Chaparral Pacific Crest National Monument and Riverside County Campaign – The Conservation Alliance
Saturday (September 23, PUBLIC LANDS DAY!)
- 7:00am Coffee/Breakfast – Bring your own
- 8:00am Early morning hike. Dave Hogan, Executive Director of Chaparral Lands Conservancy, will be leading our hike.
- 11:00am Lunch – Bring your own.
- 1:00pm Nature Journaling and Art – Bring your own colored pencils, watercolors, etc. Facilitated by Lauriel Adsit!
- 5:00pm Happy Hour. Bring some snacks and beverages to share.
- 6:00pm Dinner. Potluck. Bring enough for six people. Just one item is fine.
- 7:00pm Education. Plans for two Broadbands in California. Lauriel Adsit, new Broadband leader for San Diego and Imperial counties. “San Diego Wild Places”. and Margaret Meyncke, “Inland Empire” Broadband, serving Riverside and San Bernardino Counties.
Sunday
- 7:00am Coffee/Breakfast – Bring your own
- 8:00am Early meadow hike to see the birds and butterflies.
- 8:30am Take Down tents
- 9:00am Depart
- 9:30am California Wolf Center (I need to make reservations. Who wants to go?)
- 12:00pm LUNCH in Julian, CA.
Cost
$40 for members. $50 for non-members. $20 for day trippers.
California Wolf Center is an extra $30 per person on Sunday.
