Sept. 23-26 | Ochocos Broadwork (Central Oregon Bitterbrush Broadband)

The Central Oregon Bitterbrush Broads are planning a September 23-26 BroadWalk/BroadWork, staying at the Deep Creek Campground in the Ochoco National Forest, located east of Prineville, OR.

Travel days will be the 23rd and 26th for a 3 night event.

We will survey livestock use of vegetation inside and outside of cattle exclosures on two creeks, locate and monitor livestock exclosures on the east end of the forest, and show how to document and report damaged fences. We may measure stream channels if there is sufficient water instream.

We will plan some presentations by experts and by radical Broads, provide optional hikes, laugh a lot, and have shared dinners (breakfast and lunch on your own, but you can still share if you like).  Bring your own drinks and snacks!

Bring your tents or campers, no cabins available.

NOTE: We will need to share campsites (3-4 people). More details will be available in August. 

There will be a $25 fee for camping and other misc expenses for the event. All Broads members are welcome.

Requirements for Attendance – 1) Broads membership and 2) Completion of the NEW liability form. Covid vaccinations are no longer required. A link will be sent with the new form. 

If people want to help for just a day (no camping) there will be no fee. Bring your own food.
