Feb. 22 | Presentation: King County Urban Forests – WA (Zoom)
February 22, 2024
Join the Polly Dyer Seattle Broadband for a presentation from Joanna Nelson deFlores, who will join us for a discussion of King County Urban Forests. Joanne currently serves as Urban Forest Program Manager for King County. Prior to that, she worked for Forterra where she collaborated with Green City Partnership to establish a network of fifteen Green City/County programs to restore more than 13,000 acres of urban forests. Please come prepared with questions for Joanna about the state of our regional urban forests and what we might do to help preserve them. We will also hear reports from Barbara Phalen and Genia Moncada on the Renton Asphalt plant proposal and Legacy Forest preservation, respectively.
