Presented by Scott Bowler – Scott is on the Bitterbrush Broads and Bros Leadership team. He has expertise in natural history and a background in Oregon ecology, especially botany, with some 42 years of outdoor and science education teaching to all ages. He is an advocate for the Owyhee Canyonlands, other high desert protections, Wild and Scenic Rivers and Wildlife. Scott leads educational hikes for the Broads & Bros every year. Scott has a casual and interactive way of sharing his expertise driven by the curiosity of his learners.

Scott will give an overview of the Flora, Fauna, and Fungi  and will explore how to get to know and understand more about what we encounter in the outdoors. He will share the basics of our local ecology, what characteristics make an organism fit into any  particular category, as well as information about how things work together and support each other in the natural world. We’ll cover some of the most iconic and abundant creatures, as well as some of the rarest.
