Broads Retired Agency Affinity Group (BRAAG)
Great Old Broads for Wilderness is creating a Broads Retired Agency Affinity Group (BRAAG) composed of members who are retired federal agency employees. We have many members who have retired from the U.S. Forest Service, Bureau of Land Management, U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service, and National Park Service—just to name a few! This unique insight and expertise is invaluable to Broads’ advocacy efforts on behalf of public lands and waters.
What will the group do?
BRAAG members will…
- Provide expertise for Broads’ advocacy efforts based on agency experience.
- Assist in developing and signing onto comment letters directed to federal agencies.
- Attend quarterly meetings with Broads staff to discuss best practices for working with agencies on campaigns.
- Join Broads staff on trips to Washington, DC to meet with agency officials.
- Take part in opportunities for community-building with agency personnel.
All activities with the BRAAG will be entirely optional and voluntary. You can participate as little or as much as you want!
