Short Description of Activity
Regular summer gathering that was a little later in the summer. The event was supposed to happen in a beautiful farm on a conservation easement but because of rain, we met at an inside location. This provided some complication. People gathered, socialized, and learned about the Broads. These social events are excellent for new members who learn about all the activities sponsored by the Broadband and for current members to gather and learn new things and make new friends. The featured speaker was Chandra LaGue, a Willamette Valley Broad who works at Oregon Wild and who recently published a book: Oregon’s Ancient Forests: A Hiking Guide. Chandra was an exceptional speaker.
Reflection/Evaluation
A wonderful event, an inspiring talk but a little disappointing that the turnout was lower than expected.
