Short Description of Activity

6 Broads attended the salmon/orca rally at the Army Corps of Engineers building in Portland. We chanted and marched around the building and listened to speakers. There were (4) of us that marched the entire 5 miles to the I-205 interchange on Sandy blvd. We were so pooped out that we stopped at the end for a beer in the tavern to gain our momentum. Luckily, we had a ride back to our car. Laurie made the evening news on KOIN channel 6!

Reflection/Evaluation

The rally was fine, but very cold. We had enough signs for everyone. The actual march to Ice Harbor Dam was not very well organized at this point. I did not feel like the route was clear and the leadership was lacking. I would not attempt to do it myself and would not want the liability issue of walking along HWY 14 in Washington state.
