Short Description of Activity

4 Broads met to initiate the campout/stewardship/advocacy campout for June 17-20. We determined that CFC would lead us on Beaver surveys, Susan and Barb would lead hikes on Pumice Plain to view the potential impact of roads along the Pumice Plain on Mt. St. Helens. Susan suggested that she try to get some scientists willing to share their research in that area during the hike. Laurie to get the info out and reserve camp spots at Iron Creek Campground. We will invite Polly Dyer if we don’t fill the event. More meetings will be needed in April.

Reflection/Evaluation

Both Barb and Susan were on board with the event. Laurie reserved 2 multi campsites and we shared the event with the group at our membership meeting. The members seemed supportive. There is a chance the road would still be covered with snow in June so that is a concern. I can’t wait!
