Short Description of Activity

Film about the history of and current status of the Equal Rights Amendment. An educational film.

Reflection/Evaluation

It was important to know the history of the Equal Rights Amendment in the U.S. Most of us, even at our age, don’t know this history. It’s important now because we are still struggling for Equal Rights as women and to be recognized when we have something to say or write. We are still struggling to get women of color to the ballot box. This film was tremendously affective – made me cry, but made me feel that we must be proactive in everything we do today, especially in our communities, registering voters and participating in phone banks, and especially in calling our congressional reps both in our states and on a federal level to let them know what we wish for – a safe and healthy Mother Earth.
