Short Description of Activity

i met with 3 key women to help me do initial planning for anew broadband here.

Reflection/Evaluation

We discussed the area to encompass and all agreed on the Methow Valley. Everyone introduced themselves and their backgrounds and areas of potential strengths and interests. We discusses initial projects and the importance at the initial stage, of focusing on a few positive projects and actions with a productive focus and tangible outcome. WE should ask local land managers what they want help with. Possible issues include updating the wilderness baseline mapping that the FS did a few years ago- it made a great baseline but it needs monitoring, checking use of areas etc. This could be a great activity while distancing for covid! Also we should work with WDFW and FS on education re rogue trails and their issues.
The group initial plan for now is to be structured before going for a public kickoff. We will prepare a very brief introduction of BRoads, Sheela will edit, and then meet with USFS and WDFW. Jennifer will contact Rosemary at FS Methow Valley re a meeting, and will attend with Terry, then Terry will contact Brandon at WDFW and Kathe will join her for that meeting. Then we will reconvene for a concrete plan for soft kickoff. Everyone will think of others who might be interested and contact them. WE were reminded also to look for the good parts of agency works and express thanks as a group/organization.
