Activity Type: Broadband Meeting (prep, implementation & follow up)
Short Description of Activity
Monthly Broadband meeting focused on education about estuaries. Cheryl did a brief presentation on Chaco Canyon and the current threats there. Watched 2 brief videos about estuaries (<10min total) and talked about what attendees wanted to do (educate ourselves, advocate by letter writing or find stewardship opportunities). Group was interested in learning more, some interest in letter writing. Did not have time to talk about stewardship.
Reflection/Evaluation
We kept the meeting to an hour so there wasn’t time for attendees to share anything other than their names/town of residence. The videos were well-received and folks said they’d like more education. Decided to hold a separate meeting to write letters together as an experiment.
