Short Description of Activity
Dr. Peter Brewitt wrote the book titled “Same River Twice”. This presentation was put on by Water Watch. Lots of discussion regarding dam removal and that they do not serve the purpose that they were originally created for. Their purposed don’t exist any more and they create hazard potentials. He also discussed the removal of Savage Rapid Dan on the Rogue River and Oregon Wild’s involvement in the “Free the Rogue” campaign.
Reflection/Evaluation
It was pretty disheartening that Water Watch is not involved in the Snake River Dam removals- or at least not at this time. Overall the presentation wasn’t as helpful as I would of hoped.
