Short Description of Activity

This was a discussion of possible action we could take to help with the overcrowding on the trails at Rocky Mountain Nat Park and its possible impact on this amazing resource. I spoke to my recent experience,
with hiking in a conga line to Emerald Lake. Hikers were not wearing masks, or socially distanced, and leaving trash behind which our group picked up.

Reflection/Evaluation

I did talk to a ranger at the trail head to compliment the bus system to the trailhead which did require masksI I and socially distancing and suggested that parking lots should be eliminated and masks be mandated at trailheads. Chris and I spoke to this issue in a monthly Broadband newsletter. I will be visiting agin and will seek to find a better contact to voice my concerns. Pat and Sara plan to address their Broadband also.
