Short Description of Activity

This quarter NSJBB continued to meet in coalition to advocate for the Community Conservation Proposal as well as highlight this citizen-initiated land designations proposal through LTEs associated with the Capitol Tree “parade” around the western slope.

Reflection/Evaluation

NSJ BB submitted a similar LTE (adjusted for length guidelines) to 4 publication – Ouray Plaindealer, Grand Junction Sentinel, Montrose Daily Press and Norwood Post (published by telluridenews). Three we know were published – uncertain about Norwood Post, but we couldn’t find it. We also inspired and provided text for three additional LTEs published in the Delta, Gunnison and Crested Butte newspapers by our partners at WSCC and HCCA respectively. In addition, with great celebration, NSJBB accepted a $2500 grant from HCCA (passed through from Pew as original donor.)
