Short Description of Activity

Continual planning for webinar on Fire Ecology – Fires in Oregon, past, present, future.

Reflection/Evaluation

Chandra brought up idea of signing on to Oregon “Green New Deal” – discussion of what it is and is not. Looking at wildfire education as well as stewardship projects. Under fire ecology, look at how forests have changed and how climate change has contributed to those changes. Looking at who we can get from some tribe to be a presenter. Presentation of indigenous practices over time and also traditional practices. Came up with some names. Discussed the “web of life” activity. Looking at regional groups and public attendees prior to membership folks. Want to expand our reach as far as partners. Girls and Boys Scout, Women of Conservation, City Council, Trout Unlimited, Latino community and local college. May ask for donations.
