Short Description of Activity

Discussion of next steps for the PAT group- overview of how the CES is doing and what goals/ accomplishments it has attained thus far. Discussion about outreach outside of PNW, other broadbands rolling out some of the curriculum though not grant funded. Shared what some other states are doing in southern US as well as the east coast. Talked about the Blue Green Alliance. Again what is our purpose going forward.

Reflection/Evaluation

One idea for expanding is to see what other states are doing as far as their climate action plan is. Reaching out to them as far as curriculum we could share with them. There is the Mayor’s Climate Protection Centers the United States Conference of Mayors. Brought up about “unbranding” some of the GOBB’s materials, but further discussion that not a good idea due our credibility. Another conversation was about the difficulty for many groups to do much of the CES stuff due to COVID, so not sure how well things are going with the curriculum just yet. Open to as this continues to roll out, what questions our members might have that we might not have answers to and so could be added to the curriculum. Training others to use the materials. Discussion about advocating for public lands does not have to be political as long as we bring science to table in these discussion….not lobbying any politics, just the science. Everyone is to review annual report again….Next steps – conversation of the new administration increasing minimum wage which in turn means that restoration work will get paid more…we will follow up with more of Biden’s policies…meanwhile look at who we can add as far as resources and add them to the team.
