Short Description of Activity
Did a boots on the ground to see what the Mill Creek area looked like. Brought Rory from Land Watch to get familiar with the area…this is where we will be doing road monitoring early summer.
Reflection/Evaluation
I have not been in this area before so was good to get familiar. Good news was that many roads we had hoped to drive up were closed either due to winter wildlife migration, from Dec. 1 to May 1st. There were a few roads that were permanently closed – all of this was good news. We also ran into areas of snow so it limited how far we could go. Beautiful country and makes you wonder why are they going to be doing commercial logging??? Not much coverage for wildlife.
