Short Description of Activity

Book Club discussion and Spring Meeting Agenda. Discussion on “Braiding Sweetgrass”, its relevance to clean water and saving BWCA. Spring meeting to discuss year’s agenda and specific plans needed. The Wild Waters Broadband annual kick off of hiking/snow shoeing had to be cancelled due to below freezing weather so we tied our meeting to the book club. Our planning/leadership team attended; Mo Monroe (media/communications) Louise Morgan (leader for bookclub and group) Val Dowell (advocacy leader) and Jan Bourdon (Chapter Leader) as well as six other members.

Reflection/Evaluation

This was our Chapter’s first attempt at a book club/zoom annual meeting. Highly successful zoom meeting; excellent discussion of book and we added Spring introduction meeting about annual events coming up for the year. (10) attendees). We had a general discussion on our objectives, events to meet objectives and social get to know you for new members. Very positive and excellent meeting. Our book club was so well attended that the group decided on three additional books through out our year by Zoom format. Next meeting scheduled for April, 2021.
