Short Description of Activity
In addressing a coordinated landscape approach per Secretarial Order 3362, there were speakers from various sectors working with the feds on collaboration for migration research/monitoring, esp. of big game critters. Dan Gibbs, DNR for CO; Julie Thorstenson, Native American Fish and Wildlife Society; Lesli Allison, Western Landowner Alliance; Tracy Stone-Manning with NWF were the speakers.
Reflection/Evaluation
I am gradually learning about this subject, gradually, but most importantly learning about different groups I was unaware of before and that all of them agree there needs to be better coordination between all of the land management folk (state & federal), always need more money to make good ideas work, engage landowners first and not last in the process, and a community supported eco system was a new concept for. me.
