11:30 – 11:35 Intros- Pam, Micky capturing minutes. Lani, Snohomish, WA, introduced herself as a new person to the group but active in March 4 the dams and fasting for the orcas on the Washington capitol steps. 8 present.

11:55 – 12:00 Comparative Survival Study (CSS) Annual mtg April 22, 2021. See info at end of agenda

12:00 – 12:05 Columbia Basin Collaborative: Update- 1st mtg held- Kilmer is using this as a way to dodge Simpson’s.plan. More of same old same old. Tribes and sport fishers were majority of commenters and they wanted the group to start with Simpson’s plan. Committee rejected it. But if tribes don’t join the Collaborative, it may not go. Next meeting may be May.

12:05 – 12:25 Actions and Activities:
Hood River “Salmon Mayday” (May 1)—Micky and Debra- no word on a permit but things are looking good. We will have a protest if we don’t get a permit. Friday and Saturday nights camping at Micky’s and Friday night party. Still waiting on inviting a lot of people. Debra and Micky will scope things out at end of March and report. Hope to meet with Columbia Riverkeepers staff.

Liv made the point that this is not written yet. She did not think it would make it in the big infrastructure
Micky is hopeful for a DeFazio meeting (urged by Blumenaur office because of his position as chair of Appropriations) with Maya and Cyndi and hopefully Julie and Amy (although Micky hasn’t asked them) Will talk to Maya when she is available.
Merkley Town Hall – 4 pm March 16. –
Malcolm is in Wyden in Oregon, Julie will reach out
Rynda and Joanne will reach out to Merkley’s office
