Short Description of Activity

Barb Fox Kilgore and Sarah Madsen along with our social Sherpa Elaine Rybak solitude monitored zone 10 Wahtum Lake area of the Mark O Hatfield Wilderness Area. Hiked total of 6 miles, 5 miles in the monitor zone. Hiked to the top of Chinidere Mountain which viewed extensively the Columbia Gorge burn area. Winds coming from the south west creating thick haze from southern Oregon fires.

Monitor zone was well covered with substantial data collected. This is a very popular area and it was very encouraging to see it in good condition with people practicing good LNT.
