Short Description of Activity

Following 16 months of education, advocacy, stewardship and fun focused on field checking the Quartzville Middle Santiam proposed timber sale project and once the USFS draft environmental assessment came out, our Broadband members came together to write comments. The resulting document represents hundreds of hours of ground truthing, research and collaboration. The hours documented here represent any that haven’t been previously accounted for during field checking outings.

Reflection/Evaluation

Wow. What an undertaking and how fortunate our Broadband is to have folks willing to tackle it. Hope whom ever is reviewing this activity report opens the attachment and reads the document we submitted to the USFS. Now we wait. Given our solid relationship with the Sweet Home Ranger District staff and the quality of our comments, I am hopeful that our recommendations will be followed.
