Short Description of Activity

Reviewed Scoping documents. Hiked the Bean Peaks Area last weekend for 4.5 hours because after PNF converts the myriad unnumbered trails to bicycle use, will not want to return there because it will be dangerous and noisy. PNF has already been in the area cutting trees and in one place it was hard to find the existing trail and another where they had bypassed a small knoll. Trails will uphill and downhill and more. I have pictures of the Bean Peaks area from the past and last week’s hike to inspect.

Reflection/Evaluation

Jason Williams is the Wilderness Trails line and I have dealt with him for over 10 years. Once, Audrey and I did a three-day backpack working in he Cedar Bench Wilderness many years ago with AZ Wilderness Stewards. That is why I made it “personal.” He is always straight with us and even wrote and asked for our opinion on E-bikes a couple of years ago. Before I was a Broad, I was a PNF volunteer and I remember Jason laughing when he learned of Broads. Now I have a voice which I didn’t have as a volunteer inspecting trails.
