Short Description of Activity

Visited Kate Scott ouside of Canelo, AZ. We had two border trips. One to Douglas, AZ, where we chatted with Mark Adams/Frontera de Cristo about the upcoming May 14th Border Gathering, then went to the San Bernardino National Wildlife Refuge. The second trip was to the Pajarito Staging Area west of Nogales, a leveled mountain top now devoid of Border Contractor’s Equipment.

Reflection/Evaluation

The ponds at the San Bernardino NWR are now dry and the vegetation is scraped. a complete turnaround from the wet, lush wildlife oasis I wantered in a previous 2018 trip. I will get before and after pictures to Emily to put in her blog. We also watched 5 deer go the to Wall, unable to cross. I was blocked from entering the Pajarito Staging Area by Border Patrol in 2021. Going up there in person one sees how enormous this destroyed area is, well over 4 football fields in length.
