Short Description of Activity
Once again we retuned to the Ogden Nature Center and the 2022 celebration of Earth Day. After two years away from any public outreach it was good to tell the Broads story to interested event participants. The center requested that exhibitors provide some sort of activity for the kids. After brainstorming, the co-leaders came up with a matching game to educate the kids about what wildlife and trees are found at our adopted trail, Winter’s Grove. We are still waiting to find out how many people attended.
Reflection/Evaluation
This was a great event for us, We were able to reach out to adults in our target market and educate children about wild places. We added 25 future Broads to our outreach list and made connections with the Mountain Lion Foundation who has agreed to help us with a Hike-with-a-Purpose in June.
