Short Description of Activity

Article written sent under separate cover (Desertification for Dollars). Jenny and Tom Slaback took field trip June 6 to inspect recent PNF “thinning.” This was not thinning – removal of large and old-growth trees from 366 acres in the Camp Wood area northwest of Prescott. Photos in article and about 60 more available. and Climate Tree call this date.

Reflection/Evaluation

Refer to article we wrote. PNF is lying to the public saying they are “thinning” in the forest. They are cutting large and old-growth trees and another 366 or more are marked for cutting in the near future. Shared with Climate Change group. Tom wants to share with Daily Courier hoping they will research to show PNF is lying to the public. I will switch the order of our names to send to the newspaper making Tom the lead. Liked one of the ideas about doing a hike into old growth area. Will make it sponsored by Broads, Sierra Club, and Unity Green Team in the Fall.
