Monthly meeting with leadership team. Katya from National was visiting in Bend and joined us.
Reflection/Evaluation
Lots to cover as have had a very busy couple of months. Shared each others experience from the Rendezvous that three of us attended. Had to revisit upcoming broadchats in Sept. and November due to holiday and stewardship conflicts. Plan campout with Suzanne F over in Sumpter area to learn from her how we will gather data for our grazing monitoring project. Mary and Amy coordinating. Discussed some ideas regarding presentations for broadchats this fall. Because of all the projects we have going on differed the invite to work with ONDA in the spring rather than this fall. Hikes with Scott are going well, he is such an asset to our chapter. Lawsuit regarding East Side screens will be announced June 14th. Waiting for the draft EA regarding Lemon Gulch to come out, questionable where the funding is going to come from for that project as county is not saying it will fund. Discussion about the Climate Forest Campaign and how we can fit that into our projects and broadchats. Rynda is doing a fantastic job with our facebook page as well as sending out alerts to members. Mathieu was asked if he could work on updating our website information. WE have had folks making contact with us regarding hikes and support for legislative ordinances that are not necessarily follows our mission/scope and also they did not want to get vaccinated. Also waiting to hear anything regarding Thornburg, which continues to be in limbo.
