Short Description of Activity
The invitation to a geologist to lead a trip for our Broadband attracted a new couple to the Great Old Broads. Bob Lillie led 10 of us on an educational and informative tour of Marys Peak, the largest peak in the Oregon Coast Range. Despite inclement weather, everyone appreciated gaining a better understanding of geology in Oregon. The trip attracted a woman who had recently joined the Broadband and she discovered that she was well acquainted with others on the trip–good bonding. Bob admired my blue Great Old Broads cap and I gave it to him thinking that I could replace it. But the traditional cap in blue is no longer available and I am out one of my favorite hats. (I wrote this to see if anyone reads my activity reports.)
Reflection/Evaluation
Everyone had a good time and we will schedule another tour next year.
