Short Description of Activity
Aldo’s broadband steering committee member wrote a letter to County Commissioners in support of the Commission’s recent decision NOT to renew the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Wildlife Services contract because the federal agency, which kills carnivores on behalf of the livestock industry, failed to fulfill requirements within its last contract. (Commission is apparently considering having a second vote on this issue.) We reviewed / tweaked the draft and sent a letter plus emails to the commissioners.
Reflection/Evaluation
Went well. Although we do not yet know if this contract with Wildlife Services is being reconsidered at an upcoming meeting or not.
