The Forest Service and Bureau of Land Management opened a Federal Register Notice for public comment regarding mature and old growth forests.

Reflection/Evaluation

13 comments were sent to USDA Forest Service to demand protection of mature and old growth trees from logging. Dr Dellasala’s webinar was most helpful in understanding where these trees are, how to define different types of mature and old forest, and their tremendous value for combating the climate crisis.
