Short Description of Activity

Researched conditions for the Gunnision sage grouse, read Chris’s information, and used both to write comments on proposal for changes in BLM management plans.

Reflection/Evaluation

I’ve never seen a Gunnison Sage grouse and would really like to do so! The trip our BB did years ago to the lek for Greater sage grouse north of Craig was a high point group effort for many of our members.
In writing comments the greatest concern I found is the BLM staff must more actively manage for the birds protection to increase their number . The impacts from humans are great and need to be controlled in such a way to respect the needs the birds.
Yes, comments were submitted on the 22, but wasn’t able to do that electronically so had to physically carry the pages to GJFO.
