Short Description of Activity

Our broadband’s raptor monitors got to watch a successful fledging of a Golden eagle chick in Ridgway State Park. Two Great-horned owl chicks also fledged in a different part of the park. Monitors also kept tabs on raptors in the park in a total of 3 zones. Species we have seen this year include: Golden eagle, Bald eagle, American kestrel, osprey, Red-tail hawk, Great-horned owl, turkey vultures, and Coopers hawk

Raptors were seen and recorded into the state data base. Always exciting to see eaglets and owlets!
