Short Description of Activity

Judith Lopez sampled at her site in Confluence Park on the Uncompahgre River on 10/20/22. Samples were collected for a lab to assess metals, normal filtered and unfiltered. .Other samples were collected to be assessed by the volunteer for oxygenation, Ph, hardness and alkalinity. All data were reported on line to River Watch. Written documents and metal sample were submitted on 10/21/22 for Sept and Oct sampling.
Wayne Quade, Great Old Broad’s Bro, attended his initial training through River Watch at Camp Cedaredge in October, requiring 28 hours of training and two hours of travel.

Reflection/Evaluation

Goal is being met to provide consistent data on the the Uncompahgre river at the Confluence Park location to aid with decisions about its health and uses. Wayne Quade will be assisted to put his new information and skills to use. Judith Lopez will provide opportunities for him to assist with monitoring her assigned site and connect him to other volunteers for additional training. He will be assisted to explore what site would be most appropriate for him to provide ongoing sampling after exposure to the possibilities in the area.
