Short Description of Activity

Lecture and film presentation by Bonnie Olin regarding the Owyhee River area’s history, makeup and public land preservation issues along with a film of she and her husband’s river trip.

Reflection/Evaluation

Very interesting with beautiful pictures of a very rugged remote and wild area that has rock areas with petroglyphs and old historic structures from early settlers. But like everything the intrusion of too much human impact is threatening this area. Awareness and education are needed. This area overlaps Oregon, Idaho and Nevada. Senator Wyden is working on preservation issues.2.
