Short Description of Activity
Our broadband borderlands team met for the second time via Zoom. Meeting was facilitated by Sally Sharp, including agenda. Various topics were discussed, but much of the discussion revolved around what our focus should be. This included topics such as geographic focus (just NM, or more ecologically focused so that it also includes the sky islands from southeast AZ into southwest NM up toward the Gila which follows some of the the wildlife migration routes, etc.) Also whether this particular Aldo’s team should focus on all NM wilderness proposals and related, or just proposals close to the border, etc.
Reflection/Evaluation
Went very well, including good input from various participants knowledgeable with advocacy. The team knows that we need to focus our efforts in upcoming meetings. Sally Sharp did a great job of initiating this team, and facilitating. One participant offered to facilitate upcoming meetings which will be extremely helpful.
