Short Description of Activity

The Green Amendment Book Club’s purpose is to educate people to help pass a 2024 CO Constitutional Amendment to insure clean air, water, and healthy lands for all Coloradoans and future generations. We read the first 3 chapters and discussed feasibility of passing a Green Amendment to stop polluting industries before they pollute the CO environment. It will improve quality of life for all CO communities including front line communities.

Reflection/Evaluation

We discussed the advantages and disadvantages of the project. We decided to invite more people from many other environmental groups and involve college students interested in environmental studies to participate in the next book club Zoom meeting on March 10th at 10AM. I spoke with Kate Lehman Grayson, Group Chair of SW Colorado Sierra Club and she helped our cause by purchasing a stack of the Green Amendment books and I made an invite for interested students at Fort Lewis College Environmental Center to participate in our next book club meeting. So we’re working on growing our group and passing a 2024 CO Green Amendment.
