Short Description of Activity
Two meetings:
First, the EFC steering meeting focused on consultation with Dr. Dominick DellaSala and David Mildrexler on the type of reports they could work on to help us with the work we do to protect the forests in Eastern Oregon. We are still working out details, but decided to move ahead with the concept of a conservation blueprint for the bioregion.
Second, the EFC met to discuss the coming Blue Mountain Forest Management Plan revision from the FS. This is the first meeting, some history of previous efforts by the FS on this issue were discussed. We decided to continue on monthly basis.
Reflection/Evaluation
Meetings went well. Continuing work in this coalition is helpful in distributing the work load and the information exchange. We can all be more effective in our work protecting these forests.
