Short Description of Activity
Kristy Sabo, Attorney at Central Oregon Landwatch (she/her) uses her background in planning and law to help support the Wild Lands, Water, Cities & Towns, and Rural Lands programs at Central Oregon LandWatch. She spends most of her time monitoring instream flows and water use in the Deschutes basin, promoting ecologically sound projects on federal lands, and promoting and supporting complete communities throughout Central Oregon.
Reflection/Evaluation
Particpaints learned why old growth is important, how thinning (called restoration) and fire protection is ineffective for both, how carbon sinks are compounded with old growth forests.
