Short Description of Activity

I am the outings leader for Upper Verde Flow Monitoring. My team was Russ, Denny, David, and Rabbi Adele. We measured waterflow at Perkinsville, Bear Siding, and inspected conditions at Verde Springs.

Reflection/Evaluation

After the floods back in January and February, the river was back to normal. There were a lot of downed trees. Water clear to the bottom. Perkinsville 12.7 cfs and Bear Siding 12.4. Temperature in the low 80’s at the lower altitude and didn’t need waders, although Denny tried out the new ones Russ just purchased. I took at dip at Bear Siding. Granite Creek met the confluence at the Verde. There wasnt much water flowing and a lot of pools. We estimated a one-foot-wide spot at 2.1 cfs.
