Short Description of Activity
Colorado Canyons Association is exploring pulling together a group to be a Regional Partnership in Colorado under CPW Regional Partnership Initiative. Two Broads Leadership Team members attended two different Roundtables, and we both attended a follow-up meet the partners event in Montrose.
Reflection/Evaluation
Roundtables were interesting. They had a good mix of recreational users, and Broads supported collaboration, while making the point that conservation for landscape and wildlife is not always compatible with recreation. The follow-up activity was not helpful. It was held in a coffee house/bar in evening, and with music blaring, we were not able to meet others and have any discussions. Looks like CCA did apply for second level of funding to move the Regional Partnership along.
