Short Description of Activity

Work to prepare necessary documents and supplies was done on 3/14/23. On 3/15/23 Trainee Wayne Quade and Judith Lopez collected samples at the Confluence Park site where the water was higher than ever seen previously. In addition to regular monthly sampling, high-flow nutrient samples were collected. The River Watch prescribe testing protocols were done that day. On 3/16/23 the samples were packed in a cooler as they must stay cold until metals and nutrient samples are tested in Denver.

Reflection/Evaluation

Goal for the activity is to obtain data on this site in Confluence Park on the Uncompahgre River in a consistent, regular manner so useful information is provided to decision makers on the status of the river. In addition, training is being provided for another Broadband member so that he may eventually provide sampling at another site. Both goals are being met.
