Short Description of Activity
A staff member from Sky Island Alliance was in contact with our committee leader to let us know about their upcoming FotoFauna webinar on June 6th. Starr and Marcia summarized the purpose of this wildlife documentation project focusing on wildlife corridors and urban – wild interface. Sky Island would like to increase data point collection for sky islands / corridors in NM. Co-leader posted webinar info on our listserv and committee leader may share this info with other groups. We discussed sending a thank you letter to Senator Heinrich and Congressman Vasquez for their “dear colleague” letters regarding border wall funding being redirected to rehabilitation of damages, etc.
Reflection/Evaluation
Went well. One of our members from the Las Cruces area is now joining these Zoom meetings.
