Short Description of Activity
Annual Environmental Day at the Capitol. Broads are co-sponsors. Speakers and networking. Theme was water. AZ Broads Dre, Su, Emily, and Roz were there.
Reflection/Evaluation
15 of us met with our State Legislators. Senator Bennett stayed the hour and is always nice saying he wants to save our river, etc. We actually agreed with one bill where new rental property developments would have to answer to the availability of water. Ken repeats everything word for word every year. Rep. Bliss came in, picked up our handout and left. Rep. Nguyen stayed almost 15 minutes and he parroted Trump on border issues and said sorry, he didn’t care about the environment or wildlife at the border. Not a nice man. I addressed the Upper Verde River and the borderlands – but on our handout because we did not have time to do it in person. Broads group photo on my Facebook page.
