Short Description of Activity
ALDHA – West; Cascade Ruck is a local organization for long distant hikers and backpackers, through hikers for the PCT, CDT and AT.
Tabling at this event was to present GOB and our mission to outdoor minded women.
I also attended some of the breakout sessions and also one of our Broads facilitated a session on International Hiking.
Reflection/Evaluation
In attendance were folks from all corners of Washington and Oregon with varying experiences in hiking and backpacking along with some hard core PCT’ers. Many women stopped by, and information shared, many brochures and handouts given out.
At one of the breakout sessions I spoke on our work with the Forest Service doing solitude monitoring, hiking with a purpose.
