We parked at Arcosanti Ranch with permission. Mary Hoadley and Tim Flood of the Upper Agua Fria Watershed Project were leaders. Some of the high was on State Land.
Reflection/Evaluation
Hiked along the Agua Fria some distance then climbed high into the grasslands where we spotted pronghorn, talked about them, the watershed, and new solar farm. Distance 4.5 miles of rugged hiking amongst rocks, holes, and cats claw. Fabulous educational experience. Participants were also from Granite Dells Preservation, Unity of Prescott Green Team, and more. We also had a member of the press along who is on the Yavapai Group Sierra Club Excomm and he has attended Broads Campouts in the past. Photos on Jenny and Russ’s FB pages.
